Woman With Parasol - Monet

I've never really looked into or up to the old masters much before. I know classmates who worship Michelangelo and the lot while I can barely spell or remember their works or names. However, sometime back in the days of middle/high school, I recall looking into Claude Monet for a torturous art history class. I was very impressed with his sensitivity to colors. I remember making an attempt to paint his "Sunrise" and being baffled as to how he was able to keep the colors so clean.

So, years later, I've returned to practice upon another one of his pieces, "Woman with Parasol" in its original colors(no final filter tweaks). This was done purely digitally and on one layer only.

They say copying is a great help to learning. I'm not sure how that works but I'm hoping that it will. Enjoy.
